Dr. Prosenjit Datta

Dr. Prosenjit Datta is a pediatric surgery specialist and endo-laparoscopic surgeon in Dhaka. After successfully completing his MBBS, he obtained an advanced MS degree in Pediatric Surgery. He has also received specialized training in endo-laparoscopic surgery. He has more than 10 years of clinical and surgical experience in pediatric surgery, laparoscopy, and hypospadias surgery. Currently, he is successfully serving in the Department of Pediatric Surgery at Dhaka Medical College and Hospital, one of the country’s leading government medical institutions, where he regularly provides modern surgical care to children.

Dr. Prosenjit Datta performs advanced surgical and endo-laparoscopic procedures for a wide range of congenital abnormalities and complex conditions affecting newborns, children, and adolescents. His key areas of specialized treatment include hypospadias, a congenital abnormality of the urinary opening in children; hernia; and hydrocele.

He also specializes in the treatment of undescended testis, including testicles located inside the abdomen; congenital bile duct conditions such as choledochal cysts; gallbladder stones; and appendicitis. In addition, he performs surgery for imperforate anus (a congenital condition in which the anus is absent or blocked in newborns), intestinal obstruction, and other complex abdominal conditions.
